THE CHALLENGE
The company operates in the manufacturing and materials space, with sites across multiple countries.
It needed one digital signage standard for those locations. The selected system had to be easy to use while also meeting strict security requirements.
The team took a thorough approach to the decision. It evaluated vendors through demos, a formal RFP, a proof of concept, and a final security review.
THE SOLUTION
The company reviewed over a dozen digital signage solutions before narrowing the field to a small group of finalists. Appspace advanced through the RFP and entered the final group for security review.
The security assessment required extensive back-and-forth between the customer and Appspace. Appspace also completed a quarter-long proof of concept to prove the value of the signage platform.
The proof of concept gave a wider customer group hands-on exposure before implementation. By the project kickoff, the team had already completed much of the training planned for early implementation.
After Appspace passed the final security review, the company selected it as its digital signage provider.
THE RESULTS
The success of the proof of concept led to the project’s planned device count nearly doubling during the review phase. The hands-on work during that time also reduced the amount of introductory implementation work needed at kickoff. The customer team was able to move into project planning with a stronger understanding of the platform.
The company is now equipped with a signage platform that meets its strict security requirements. It plans to roll out signage to additional locations at close to a monthly cadence.
