Our Q1 release is here, and it’s full of new features and enhancements to build an engaging and meaningful workplace experience. The Taurus release is all about making Appspace smarter and more intuitive, delivering significant advancements that touch every part of the employee journey. 

By continuing to deeply integrate cutting-edge AI technology, we’re providing new levels of assistance for creating engaging content and extracting valuable insights. We’ve also introduced new ways to manage physical spaces and automate routines, alongside key platform integrations designed to connect all your business tools and information.

VergeSense and XY Sense driver support

Your workplace just got a lot smarter. Appspace now provides a native integration with VergeSense and XY Sense occupancy sensors. This allows for automations like releasing resources after no-shows and automatically checking into reservations.

Managing BrightSign devices just got a lot easier with auto updates. This means your entire fleet stays secure and up-to-date with the latest features, without the manual effort. And for greater control, you can manually schedule updates, pin specific app versions, roll back if needed, and apply these configurations in bulk at the location level.

Amazon Signage Stick support

Appspace is now officially certified and supported on Amazon Signage Sticks! Unlock a new world of cost-effective hardware, giving you the flexibility to use Amazon’s affordable devices while maintaining the advanced features and capabilities you rely on from Appspace. It’s the same great digital signage experience, now with more hardware choices to fit your budget.

Taurus includes dozens of other enhancements to help you create a workplace your employees love. Here’s a look at some other items you can find in this release.

  • AI content Connectors – Enables communicators to automatically create, schedule, and publish fresh, relevant, AI-created text and image content across various channels.
  • Outlook calendar availability – Displays real-time free/busy data from Outlook alongside Appspace reservations, creating a single, comprehensive view of user availability for accurate scheduling.
  • Reservation approval enhancements – Flexible reservation approvals that allow users to make minor updates to approved bookings and give administrators precise control over when re-approval is required.
  • Location-level settings for reservations – Precise, purpose-driven configuration of individual rooms and workspaces by location, enabling resource-specific rules (like reservation duration and recurring booking policies) that override global defaults.

  • Webex One Button to Push – Streamlines the hybrid meeting experience by automatically recognizing calendar-scheduled events on Webex devices, enabling users to join with a single tap.
  • Newsletter analytics – Provides communications teams with data-driven insights including reach, delivery status, open rates, and click-through rates for newsletters and email campaigns.
  • Visitor policy enforcement – Automatically blocks visitor invitations during the space reservation process if the selected location does not have an active visitor policy configured.
  • Visitor Management metrics refresh (coming soon) – A redesigned Visitor Management analytics interface providing clearer visualizations and new metrics to give admins more accessible and data-driven insights into visitor traffic and behavior.

  • Intelligent image search – Uses AI to analyze the content of visual assets in the document library, allowing users to find specific images instantly by searching for terms related to objects, scenes, or embedded text.
  • Device live preview for BrightSign – Provides direct, real-time screenshot capture of BrightSign digital signage players, giving users an accurate visual confirmation of the published content.
  • Story and Page archival – Allows content creators to move outdated Pages and Stories to a dedicated “Archived” status rather than permanently deleting, providing additional content management flexibility.
  • Content approvals – Gives Community, Topic, and Channel owners and moderators governance controls over user-generated content by requiring designated approvers to review and approve or reject new posts.
