THE CHALLENGE

Legacy system limitations

Milliman was ready to embrace a return to the office, but their outdated systems weren’t. As in-person meetings increased and desk hoteling expanded, especially at HQ and larger offices, Milliman’s Outlook-based system began to show its limitations.

Manual workflows, limited support for hoteling reservations, and a patchwork of tools— like Outlook room resources and PDF files—created ongoing inefficiencies. At the same time, Milliman’s commitment to delivering advanced technology solutions to clients required IT to have stronger visibility into the organization’s computing and networking assets.

Booking spaces is faster than ever. Employees can reserve conference rooms and resources in seconds, then tap “reserve now” on room displays to start meetings right away.

Digital signage keeps information visible and current. For example, entrances and lobbies show timely office updates.

Behind the scenes, the IT team uses Appspace to visualize and manage computing and networking assets through interactive maps displayed in network rooms. Combined with detailed reporting and usage logs, these insights help IT understand how spaces and resources are used – and make smarter, data-driven decisions to optimize the workplace.
